For every troubled person in this life, for every depressed individual, for anyone surrounded by worries, problems, and calamities from every side, O you who suffers from a spiritual, psychological, or even physical illness, do you not know the power of Surah Al-Baqarah?
The blessings of Surah Al-Baqarah, when recited in a Muslim's home, fill it with blessings and drive away evil spirits. In Sahih Muslim and other sources, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Do not make your houses like graves, for the devil flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited." Allah Almighty said in His Book, "And We send down from the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers."
Everyone who has experienced the recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah has noticed positive changes in their life, whether from a psychological and spiritual aspect, their living conditions, or their relationships with those around them.
There are those who have been consistent in reciting it and have gotten rid of problems that occur to them in inexplicable ways, which are caused by the cunning of the enemy of Allah, the accursed devil, against humans. There are also women who have read it and found that their delayed marriage was eased by Allah, granting them marriage and offspring.
Another person recounts that Allah alleviated his financial problems due to his consistency in reciting Surah Al-Baqarah.
These are stories that have happened, and their owners have seen the results with their own eyes. I, who write this article, am one of them. I have experienced the sweetness of being consistent in reciting Surah Al-Baqarah, its blessings, and its impact on the soul, psyche, and body.
Surah Al-Baqarah positively affects mental health and makes a person more balanced and focused, allowing them to excel in their work and utilize their time more effectively, which in turn affects their productivity and income, increasing their financial earnings. Consistency in reciting it eliminates the work of devils and their schemes against the children of Adam, nullifying their efforts. Consequently, the affairs of that person who consistently recites this great Surah improve, and anyone who begins to be consistent with it will notice its remarkable effect on their psyche first and the happiness that will fill their heart before they see other material and tangible results.
But someone might say that it is a long surah and they cannot consistently recite it daily. To that person, I say that what you want to achieve in solving your problems, worries, and psychological and spiritual ailments is worth the effort and struggle for it. Therefore, I advise you to pay this price to obtain the result.
With time, when you start reciting this surah while reflecting on its meanings, you will not feel the time passing until you reach its end.
You can also gradually increase your recitation by starting with reciting one part of it daily, then after a while, two parts daily, and so on, until you train yourself to recite all five parts in one sitting with reflection and the intention of alleviating your worries.
Drawing closer to our Creator is the first reason for happiness, and following the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the closest path to Allah. He told us that this surah has blessings, so let us not waste its blessings and make it a companion in our days to protect us from the evils of those who wish us harm, with Allah's permission and success.
